Reborn in 1990: From a Run-Down Factory to a Lithography Machine

Lin Feng is reborn, back in 1990.

His father has suffered a stroke, the factory has gone bankrupt, and his fiancée has run off with the money.

Hundreds of workers gather outside the factory gates, waiting to see him make a fool of himself.

A foreign-backed comprador sneers over a glass of red wine: "What can you do with this pile of scrap metal?"

The crown princess of Hong Kong's financial world looks down on him. "Three million. Sell me the factory."

An American semiconductor giant scoffs. "China won't be able to make a lithography machine in a hundred years."

Lin Feng says nothing. He simply dismantles a Soviet machine tool he salvaged from a scrap yard.

The scraper comes down. Precision: 0.01 millimeters.

The whole crowd falls silent.

Years later, when Huayao's lithography machine lights up a wafer,

Wall Street kneels and asks, "Mr. Lin, just how many more cards do you have up your sleeve?"
