Military Industry: Not Enough Firepower? Make Up for It with Caliber and Range

While everyone else was working with small-caliber 5.8 mm rifles, he brought out a 40 mm “sniper rifle.”

Yang Guang, a transmigrated military-industry prodigy, turned down a million-yuan salary to join the nearly bankrupt Hongxing Arms Factory.

His first design left the entire factory stunned: a 40 mm caliber? That's a cannon!

Yang Guang calmly corrected them: “It's called a sniper grenade launcher. It can precisely take out targets at 1,200 meters, and one grenade can blow up a bunker.”

If the domestic military didn't want it, he could sell it to desert tycoons with more money than sense and a healthy fear of death.

At the firing range, a shot punched straight through a reinforced-concrete target 1,200 meters away. Everyone was stunned.

At the defense expo, a competitor mocked it as “a useless hunk of junk that can't make up its mind what it is.” Then a colonel from the Camel Kingdom stared at the ridiculously thick barrel, eyes gleaming

“This thing can fire grenades like bullets?”

Bigger caliber means truth; greater range means justice. While others were still worrying about penetration, Yang Guang had already given every infantryman enough firepower to blow an entire company sky-high.
