Honkai Impact 3rd: The Daily Life of an Ordinary Researcher

[Light yuri] [Previous Era] [Extensive author-created lore] [No angst?]

On an ordinary night, two young girls sat side by side.

“Compared to the stars in the sky, we are fragile, insignificant, and fleeting,”

the green-haired girl said to the white-haired girl beside her.

“But even those stars will eventually meet their end after countless years.”

Her eyes brimmed with unwillingness.

The white-haired girl gazed quietly at her without a word.

“I don’t want this. I don’t want to end up as nothing but a handful of dust... I don’t want to die.”

The green-haired girl was used to her companion’s silence and continued speaking to herself.

“What I want is ‘infinity,’ something that transcends everything.”

She looked up at the sky.

The white-haired girl still said nothing, only watching her eyes in silence.

The shining stars were reflected in the green-haired girl’s clear eyes. They were beautiful.

Suddenly, she turned her head.

“What do you think?”

The white-haired girl answered without hesitation.

“I believe in you.”
