Su Jin transmigrates to Wolong Pavilion as an apprentice. Drawing on his modern knowledge of Tang history, he joins forces with the pavilion master's daughter, Murong Xiu, and gradually meets ten female characters of vastly different backgrounds. Together, they bring the forces of the martial world, the imperial court, commerce, the military, and the palace under one banner.
With his precise predictions of historical events, Su Jin steadily helps Li Longji eliminate obstacles to his rise, including Empress Wei and Princess Taiping. He puts down a palace coup and ultimately helps Li Longji ascend the throne, ushering in a golden age. Along the way, he helps the male lead's original body, from before the transmigration, avenge himself, and fulfills his own original ambition to uncover the truth of Tang history.
