From the azure sky above, a dark, sinister fog descended and devoured the continent. A cocoon of flesh harbored the cells of a god. It crumbled and scattered at the sound of a baby's cry, tainting all things, seeping into bloodlines, and passing down through the ages until time immemorial. Thus everyone became a child of Him, the God of Gods.
Even a mere incarnation possessed absolute power. Though it was only an infinitesimal fragment of tissue, it was enough to destroy everything. The poison of the spire in the black fog spread gloom and swallowed the world. There was nowhere to hide, nowhere to turn, no strength to fight, no way to win. Suffocating, fractured time; dominion born of despair.
No one knew how long the lightless hell within that black fog had lasted.
“Then one day, light shone upon the land once more. He had died, or perhaps been sealed away. Life returned, and even the dominion of annihilation came to an end.”
So said the witness.
Those tainted by His blood gave rise to a species called the Ossuaries, distinct from humanity. A schism erupted from the depths of their souls, igniting a war. Raindrops drifted down from the sky, washing away the rust of blood. A cradle of the dead, and the tears of children. Barbed wire fenced off this place. Apart from smoke rising now and then, proof that a civilization had once existed, only a collapsed guard post and a “No Entry” sign remained. A friendship lasting a thousand years, a love lasting a thousand years, a family bond lasting a thousand years…
High mountains, dense forests, a darkened sky, barbed wire, and the Berlin Wall standing tall
Circling back, again and again, they transgress in an instant.
