Unemployed young man Zhao Li failed to pass the civil service exam for two years, only to be recruited by the underworld instead.
By day, he delivers takeout and gets bad reviews. By night, he interrogates evil ghosts and earns merit.
His magic tool is a tablet that keeps crashing, his soul-catching rope is a smart wristband, and his colleague is a veteran prosecutor who's been dead for thirty years.
“Does the underworld make you work 996?”
“No, 007. But once you're dead, you don't have to die again, so at least the job's stable.”
This job seems a little better than delivering takeout.
