Rule Horror: I Don't Play by Common Sense

Rule-Based Horror Stories That Are a Blast to Read, with the Protagonist Not Hiding Their Strength

I want to read something similar to The Mighty Heavenly Emperor, Beating Rule-Bound Horror Stories Is Only Natural, Right? I want a satisfying power fantasy! Please, nothing where the protagonist is constantly frustrated, loves showing off, or pretends to be weak before revealing their true strength. I can’t stand those. Preferably something lighthearted and not too scary.
