Data Evolution in the Apocalypse

In 2157, deep-dive technology makes it possible to project consciousness into virtual worlds and experience them as reality.

Su Nian signs a contract and enters the “Apocalypse Simulation” experience program, where she is supposed to retain her memories throughout. But someone secretly sabotages the virtual machine, and she wakes up among the ruins with no memories, accompanied only by the System and a note that reads, “Stay alive.”

She activates the System and awakens a data-based superpower, surviving in an Apocalypse overrun by mutants. She meets Lu Yuan, a taciturn man with astonishing combat skills who looks at her as if he has known her for a long time. He tells her, “When you’re ready to handle it, tell her the truth,” yet every time danger appears, he steps in front of her.

Su Nian regains her memories and discovers that this Apocalypse is virtual and that she is a test subject. As she learns the truth, the world begins to shatter: the sky looks like a broken screen, and the people who vanish turn into blue code. Hidden in the data of the man she has fallen for is a “behavior prediction model.” Are his feelings real, or just the output of an algorithm? How can she return?
