The More She Resembles Her, the Worse I Behave

Shen Lu, a former criminal profiler, was dismissed from the police force for “excessive empathy.” Now she has signed with a stand-in agency. Her assignment is to impersonate Su Wan, the man she loves' beloved, and help Lu Huaizhou, a prosopagnosic CEO, “break his emotional dependency.”

An extra clause in the contract states that if the client falls in love with her, the final payment will be withheld.

She smiles. “Whoever falls first loses? I never lose.”

But she never expected that the male lead already knew she was a stand-in. He just needed to feel needed in order to confirm that he existed.

Nor did she expect that one day at three in the morning, she'd look in the mirror and ask, “Shen Lu, are you really in love with him?”
