My Whole Family Is Loyal to the Death, but I’m the Villain

The Zhenbei Marquis's household is famed for generations of loyal service. The grandfather died on the battlefield, the father guards the frontier, and the elder brother fell in battle. Everyone at court gives the Shen family a thumbs-up. And I am the illegitimate son of the household, the one they keep hidden from the light. I eliminated rivals for my legitimate elder brother, won over powerful officials for my father, and did all the dirty work for the family. My name is reviled, and everyone curses me, but no one knows that every medal for the Shen family's military achievements is stained with my blood. Then, one day, the accusation of treason came crashing down. The entire family knelt in the ancestral hall, weeping with apparent sincerity: “What a disgrace to our family, to have produced such a traitor!” I laughed. I did the dirty work, and you took the credit. Now that it's time to pay for it, you push me forward to take the blame? I slipped the evidence I'd gathered over the years from my sleeve and shouted to the assembled officials: “A family of loyal heroes? Today, I'll tear that lie apart for the whole world to see!” This time, I'm flipping the table. No one gets to walk away unscathed. Everyone's a villain, and I strike back from the start. This time, the antagonist won't be anyone's stepping stone.
