The Chef God Who Slays the Dao

Jiang Ran, a master chef renowned for serving state banquets in Huaxia, was poisoned to death. His soul then crossed into another world, where he became the lowliest kitchen soldier in a prison.

His father was wrongly accused and sentenced to execution in three days. There was no way to clear his name, and danger lurked everywhere.

Then he discovered that his culinary skills from his past life had extraordinary powers in this world:

Knife skills could sever a cultivator’s meridians, control of the flame could refine the primordial energy of heaven and earth, and the five flavors could disrupt the mind.

A bowl of wontons could help a swordsman break through to a new realm, while a clear soup could win over an alchemy sect master.

When the Sword Immortal of the Sword Pavilion asked what Dao he cultivated, he wiped his cleaver and said,

“I don’t cultivate any Dao. I just cook.”

“But even immortals have to pay for my food.”
