The elders in the village often say that if you hear someone calling your name in the middle of the night, never answer; never pick up a red umbrella on the roadside on a rainy night; and never leave an empty coffin from a funeral in front of your house. Lu Chen grew up in the countryside and had heard countless folk taboos. He originally thought they were old words used by old people to scare children. It wasn't until the third night after his second uncle's death that he heard a familiar shout outside the window. After that, a series of strange things happened one after another in the countryside: calling out names in the middle of the night, borrowing lives under a red umbrella, empty coffins entering the village, eye-dotting on paper figures, red strings on graves...
