A Twisted Ghoul's Perception and a Little Girl's Empire-Building

A ghoul's mind was altered, and it imagined itself a noble and valiant knight.

That was the beginning of the Empire's history. It continued until the first planet was completely conquered and the double-headed eagle banner was raised upon the stellar ring.

The twenty-two legions were assembled, and the Great Crusade officially began.

The Pope, the God-Emperor of the Empire, the Imperial Princess, and the Lord of Sacred Flame burned the so-called Void, where gods were born, to ash.

From then on, the Empire's advance never ceased.

The God of War was blasted from its throne beneath the bombardment of the Sacred Flame Legion. Its skull was mounted on the flagship's bridge, and wailed with every jump through space.

The Breeding God's corrupted garden was burned to glass by the Knight Legion,

and the god itself was locked beneath Terra, where it provided organic fertilizer for the Empire's agriculture every day.

The God of Schemes devised ten thousand plots, but none meant anything before the cold flames.

In the end, it was chained beneath the Holy Grail in the papal court. Now it leads the choir, and is particularly good at the high notes.

The God of Desire, at this moment, was simply dancing gracefully in its bedchamber.

From then on, countless Void gods were purged one by one, and countless lost planets returned to the Empire's territory.

The ghoul went from a monster to be feared to a knight to be worshipped.

The twenty-two legions spread the fires of war across the cosmos, burning and slaughtering countless xenos.

The Empire's territory spanned the entire galaxy. Beneath the double-headed eagle, the Emperor sat upon the Golden Throne.

He attended to the day's affairs of state, with the Pope at his side, white hair trailing to the floor and rose-red eyes reflecting cold flames burning pure white.

The Sacred Flame on the scepter burned quietly, while the commanders of the twenty-two Knight Orders stood in two rows.

Today's proposal was: Exterminatus.
