You Were Sent Undercover, Not to Become a Big Shot for Real

In the 1990s, crime flourished beneath the neon lights of Blue Star.

Gangs were everywhere, their bosses ran rampant, and even the Inspectorate had to steer clear of them.

In this strange and dazzling metropolis, Chen Xu was just an ordinary office worker with a nine-to-five job. His biggest worry was making rent at the end of the month.

That is, until a group of men in black blocked him outside his office building and bowed in unison. “Young Boss, it’s time to come home.”

Only then did he learn that he looked exactly like the eldest legitimate son of the late boss of Blue Star’s largest gang, the Dongsheng Alliance.

Now that the old boss had died unexpectedly, they needed the “Young Boss” to return and take charge.

The Inspectorate came knocking too, offering threats and tempting promises. “Go undercover. We’ll get you out in a year and give you a new identity and a new life.”

With no other choice, Chen Xu put on Lin Chen’s face and walked into that vast gang that devoured people whole.

But he never expected the identity of “Young Boss” to be so useful.
