It rained heavily.
Lin Wan held the black umbrella that was about to fall apart and checked the address on her phone for the third time.
"No. 77, Xishan Road, Misty Manor."
The navigation showed that we had arrived at our destination, but in front of us there was only a wasteland surrounded by iron fences. The grass swayed wildly in the heavy rain, like countless struggling hands. The fence was rusty, and the handwriting on the sign was blurry. You could just barely make out the words "Private property, no entry."
"You're kidding me?" She cursed in a low voice, and the rain dripped down her hair into her neck.
The phone vibrated at this moment.
An unknown number.
"Ms. Lin, are you here?" The man's voice was processed, mechanical and cold.
"I'm here, but there's nothing here." Lin Wan looked around, and there wasn't even a streetlight in the rain.
"Please take twenty steps forward."
Lin Wan frowned, but still did it. One step, two steps, three steps... When she counted to the twentieth step, her feet suddenly came up empty——
No, it's not short selling.
It's the ground that's sinking.
