This Detective Is Rather Eerie

Zombies are born from the resentment, filth, and deathly energy of heaven and earth. They neither age nor die, and cannot be destroyed or extinguished. Rejected by heaven and earth, they are ill omens cast out by the Three Realms and Six Paths. They bear none of the world's karmic ties, endure countless tribulations of lightning with their own bodies, and feed on the blood of the living, keeping their lonely vigil through the ages... In the cold night, ghosts howl through the desolate city; the wind shrieks through ancient trees as corpses stalk the shadows. Examine every clue to solve the strange cases, and venture straight into the netherworld to strike down evil. The past and all that came before flow away like water, but an unwavering heart remains. With a single blade, I sever every worldly attachment; half a lifetime has taught me to see fame in this fleeting world for what it is. Even if demonic miasma blankets a thousand miles, peace is mine as long as I hold my cold blade. No matter how many evil spirits linger through the ages, one merciless slash will cleanse heaven and earth.
