I Raised a Superpowered Daughter in the City

A middle-aged man, crushed by the weight of life, finds an unknown little girl on the edge of the city and takes her home. She can stop an elevator between floors, hear lies as colors, and light up every streetlamp on an entire block in the middle of the night. As he cooks for her, changes her clothes, and helps with her homework, he also shields her from people, covers up trouble, and cleans up messes. The longer he cares for her, the more he realizes that she isn't just a daughter he has taken in. She's a key slowly prying open the whole city.
