The Amazing Digital Circus: Jax Must Die

“No one will die today.” The promise written on the first page of the script became the circus's biggest joke the moment Jax vanished.

Everyone said it was a good thing. The grinning purple rabbit would no longer whack people's knees with a wrench or stuff live centipedes into Pomni's teapot. But when the first person realized their lines had started coming out backward, and the second saw their reflection refusing to leave the mirror, the whole circus began to look like a puzzle that had been torn apart and put back together wrong. Only then did they realize that Jax's pranks might have been the last gears in the world still turning properly.

So a group of people who had been desperate to see him gone had no choice but to set out in search of him. Against their will, they called his name, searching for every scratch he had left behind among the collapsing scenery. And Jax, like the punchline to a bad joke, refused to deliver.

When the truth finally tore open the curtain, they discovered that some pranks are meant to make people laugh, while others are meant to keep the world from crying too soon.
