Fu Heng died horribly in nine lifetimes. After receiving guidance from an immortal, she is reborn with all her memories.
In this new life, Fu Heng encounters one person after another who seems to treat her well but is actually plotting against her.
Everyone except Jun Tiankuo.
He wants nothing from her. He simply treats her well, again and again.
Just as she is about to fall for him, someone tells her that the person who treats her best is actually the one most eager to see her dead. If she falls in love with Jun Tiankuo, she will repeat the fate of her previous nine lives.
So she kills him.
But when the knife in her hand pierces his heart, his eyes are still full of love.
With hands covered in blood, Fu Heng touches Jun Tiankuo’s face as his life slowly fades.
Why did you have to let me know you truly loved me only after I killed you?
