NBA: The More Seriously I’m Injured, the Stronger I Get

Li Zeyu is a two-way contract player at the end of the roster. He can’t bring himself to throw away his worn-out sneakers, and sends every penny home to pay for his younger sister’s dialysis. In a Game 7, he fights desperately to save the ball, then collapses with a ruptured Achilles tendon. All he gets in return is the team manager saying, “Get this piece of trash out of here.”

Cut after a devastating injury, he loses his livelihood. At his lowest point, the [Injury Forge System] activates: every injury and every ounce of fatigue can be converted into permanent physical talents!

“Ruptured Achilles tendon → maxed-out jumping ability + iron Achilles tendons!”

“Knee wear and tear → unstoppable lateral movement + unbreakable knees!”

“Cracked ribs → ironclad core + maxed-out physicality!”

The worse the injury, the more terrifying his body becomes. The injuries everyone else fears are his richest source of nourishment.
