What is a fallen immortal?
Born the supreme immortal, yet rejected by the Heavenly Dao,
forced to become a demon, forced to turn evil.
I may be doomed to eternal ruin,
but I cannot bear to see you deceived by Heaven, made to suffer its cruelty, and trapped in its schemes.
If the Heavenly Dao is heartless, then I
will fall from immortality and become a demon, overturn the Nine Heavens, and return all things to Chaos.
All the myriad games of fate are but illusions.
Only you and I will remain faithful to each other through the ages, sharing eternal sleep through countless calamities.
After a thousand trials, I shall never again be an immortal. I ask only to share this life and sleep beside you.
