[Two Chapters Updated Daily]❤️
[I came up with this outline in high school, so the writing may be a little rough. Please bear with me.]
Shen Du had known since childhood that he was an unwanted member of the Shen family.
His half-brother, Shen Zhao, hated him to the core. His father saw him as a disgrace, and the servants whispered about him behind his back. He was like a shadow, living in a corner of the Shen household, afraid to make a sound.
The only person who had ever shown him warmth was Shen Zhao's fiancé, Lu Shiyan.
A glass of water, a slice of cake, a simple “You don't have to force yourself”... These small kindnesses became the only light in Shen Du's sunless life. He knew Lu Shiyan was only kind to him because he loved Shen Zhao, but he couldn't control his own heart.
When Shen Zhao and Lu Shiyan set a wedding date, the last thread inside Shen Du snapped. Driven by love and hate, jealousy and despair, he did something he could never take back.
Shen Zhao died. Lu Shiyan's world collapsed.
One night of drinking, one moment of losing control, and Lu Shiyan mistook Shen Du, who looked so much like Shen Zhao, for him. When he woke up, he discovered the truth.
He didn't call the police. Instead, he chose another path: he would make Shen Du wish he were dead.
Shen Du stayed willingly. He owed Shen Zhao his life, and he was willing to spend the rest of his own repaying that debt. But he never imagined that when someone made the other person their only means of atonement, the line between love and hate could become blurred.
Later, Shen Du met someone else. That person said, “I can take you away.”
Shen Du shook his head. “Even if he's hell, I want to stay by his side.”
He died beneath the contemptuous gazes of everyone who hated him. Only after his death did they understand...
He had never been hated by everyone. He simply didn't know he deserved to be loved.
There is no particularly bloody plot, which gave me a relatively calm feeling, and then I shed tears while watching it.
I finally found a book I want to read 😢
True, but too depressing
