Hidden Away: The Sickly Emperor's Favorite

Not recommended. The author has started a new book, and this one has a bad ending.

[Both leads are each other’s only partner] [Emperor x Favored Consort] [Seven-year age gap]

Baili Ci, a cold-blooded emperor whose harem has remained empty for the three years since his accession, falls for Gu Mingshuang, the Chancellor’s concubine-born daughter, at first sight during the imperial selection.

Obsessive and dangerously possessive, he keeps her as his sole favorite, shelters her in the imperial palace, and is possessive of her to the core.

Through schemes in the harem, plots to seize the throne, and machinations by neighboring states, he wipes out every treacherous foe for her, dismisses the entire harem, and dotes on her alone.

The timid concubine-born girl grows stronger with every step, eventually becoming the one and only empress in his heart.

All the empire’s vast lands are worth less to him than she is.
