Shen Zhi was once the Ning Prince's Consort, welcomed with ten miles of wedding finery. Then, in a single day, she became the disgraced wife of a convicted criminal. Framed by her husband's family, cast out by her birth father, and humiliated by her stepmother, she was sent to a desolate estate to scrape by. After suffering humiliation on a rainy night and abuse at the hands of cruel servants, she stumbled into a secret cave in her darkest hour. There she gained an extraordinary legacy in medicine and poison, formations and Gu arts, and was reborn from the ashes.
Biding her time and plotting carefully, she wielded medicine and poison as blades and used formations to set her traps. First, she settled the score with her stepmother for murdering her mother and stealing her inheritance. Then she helped her younger sister escape a tragic fate. With her own strength, she threw the Shen household into turmoil and made the wicked suffer the consequences of their actions. Facing the Ning Prince, who had once coldly cast her aside, and the grudges between their families, she advanced step by step, dismantling his faction, exposing conspiracies, and securing hard evidence. She never relied on anyone, and she never showed mercy.
From abandoned wife to peerless master of medicine and poison, she seeks neither romance nor fame. She only wants to avenge her family's blood debt and clear their name. Watch Shen Zhi rise against all odds from humble beginnings, let her poisonous fragrance blanket the capital, and see her bring order to a world thrown into chaos.
