The Fifth Book by Zhi Qiu Yiyezi

Luo Xiaohei is the village idiot of Peach Blossom Village.

He’s twenty-three and still runs around the village in split-crotch pants. Everyone who sees him shakes their head.

Matchmaker Wang, from the eastern end of the village, says he’s destined to be a bachelor for life.

But tonight, Matchmaker Wang herself leads a pretty young bride to his door and knocks on his run-down shack.

The idiot’s life begins to change that very night.
