One Piece: Dragon and I Were Childhood Friends

[Marines] [Revolutionary Army] [Poneglyphs] [Mythical Zoan] [No System] [Exploring Bonds] [Not a Power Fantasy] [Carefully Researched Plot]

This isn’t a One Piece power fantasy. It’s an old fan’s speculation about the past and the future. Fellow fans, your feedback is welcome.

A 45-year-old One Piece fan transmigrates into the world of pirates.

While everyone else follows Luffy, he follows Luffy’s dad.

He and Dragon become childhood friends,

sharing a life and training together,

joining the Marines together, and experiencing God Valley together.

He defects from the Marines alongside Dragon and becomes the leader of the Revolutionary Army, while Wang Ye becomes its chief political commissar.

The most heinous criminals, times two.

He comes to know the beauty and bonds of this world, and also sees its darkness. In his previous life, he worked himself to the bone just to get by. In this life, he wants to live freely, but he discovers that freedom seems to come at a steep price.
