After I Transmigrated, I Set Out on the Path to Immortality with the Sickly Crown Prince

She transmigrated, asking only for a place to call her own.

He was trapped in the Eastern Palace, waiting for the smallest chance to survive.

The world called them a useless pair,

but they said, “The road to immortality is long. We’ll walk it together.”

[Her: Xie Zhisheng]

After transmigrating, she woke to find herself the top courtesan at the Zuoyue House in the capital, someone everyone could bully. But she neither cried nor ran. With her zither strings and the scent of ink, she carved out a little room to breathe. Until the Third Prince, Luo Ling, bought her and sent her as a humiliating gift to the desolate Eastern Palace.

[Him: Luo Qi]

Crown Prince of the Great Yuan Kingdom and the eldest legitimate son, he was frail and often ill, had no favor with the emperor, and was dismissed by the world as a “good-for-nothing with no spiritual roots.” Weeds overran the Eastern Palace, no officials at court would ally with him, and even his medicinal herbs were withheld. Luo Ling mocked him as “a dead man occupying the crown prince’s seat.”

Until that courtesan walked into his study.

[Them]

There was no love at first sight, no moonlit romance.

Only a bowl of medicine brought late at night, the words “I trust you,” and two pairs of eyes lighting each other’s way in the dark.

They were each other’s salvation. It wasn’t love, but it ran deeper than love.

As their strengths rose and fell, they pushed each other forward, neither willing to be left behind.

They made a promise:

“The road to immortality is long. We’ll walk it together.”

I was once the top courtesan, and he was a sickly crown prince.

The world laughed at us as a pair of useless nobodies,

never knowing that I could be his sword, and he could be my shield.

There was no romance between us,

yet we were the only light in each other’s lives.
