[Premium anthology]| [Rural folklore]| [Karma and fate]| [Plot-driven]
In the mountains of the Republic of China era, Luohun Town lies cut off from the outside world.
Clans have lived here for generations, bound by deeply rooted rites and laws and old customs that imprison the heart.
Behind every strange mystery lies an inescapable fate and a human regret too painful to let go.
Why does the old well at the village entrance echo with sobbing every night?
Who is the old garment hanging from the withered tree meant for?
And why does a senile old man brave wind and rain for decades to keep a lamp burning for the dead?
This novel has no System and no fantasy elements.
It tells only of rural obsessions, the warmth and coldness of human relationships, and the karma of Heaven's way.
Come see Chen Jiu, a Taoist priest from the countryside, keep watch over this ancient town, discern the ways of the world, follow the threads of karma, and free people from their earthly obsessions.
And yet he himself is already caught in a web of fate spanning several decades.
Since the beginning of the book, I have been slowly polishing the story. It focuses on Chinese folk customs and supernatural beings, and follows the path of cause and effect. It is not a fast-food novel. The protagonist Chen Jiu sticks to his duty of yin and yang, solving the grievances in the mountains and fields one after another. More unit stories will be unfolded in the future. Thanks to the friends who are willing to calm down and read the story, I will slowly finish telling the strange things about Luohun Town. Thanks for meeting us, let's look down together.
