Northeast Spirit Medium: Ergouzi Invokes the Gods

Worldbuilding: The Northeastern spirit-medium tradition. All things possess spirits, divided among the Five Great Immortal Clans: the Fox, Weasel, Hedgehog, Snake, and Rat. This is a Northeastern mountain village where ghosts and spirits roam, yet everyday life is full of warmth: from sinister tomb demons to the petty squabbles of village life.

Protagonist profile: Yang Tiedan, nicknamed Yang Ergou. The local tough guy in Kaoshan Village at the foot of Changbai Mountain, he’s a reckless hothead with a truly unusual way of thinking. Born under the “Lone Star of Calamity” fate, he’s actually a once-in-a-million “spirit-gathering vessel.” He comes with a built-in comedy aura and can turn a horror movie into an action comedy.

Core conflict: The protagonist’s spirit-medium altar has been mysteriously sealed, and disciples of the spirit-medium tradition all across the Northeast blame him for their grievances. He must deal with all kinds of bizarre supernatural incidents while recruiting unruly spirits from every faction as his underlings, then head as a group to Baishan and demand an explanation from Hu San Taiye.
