Fairy Tale Contamination Zone 404

You think fairy tales are sweet? That’s only because they’ve been censored so many times.

The Brothers Grimm cut out dismemberment and being buried alive. Disney cut out the blood and the smell of rust. But the truths they erased never vanished. They became Contaminated Zones. Each one replays a fairy tale as it was before the edits: Little Red Riding Hood is a priestess of the wolf pack, Cinderella’s glass slipper is a bone-shaving torture device, and Sleeping Beauty’s spindle is a syringe.

Bai Xue is the only one who can enter the Contaminated Zones. Because she’s a vampire: fairy tales live on people’s belief, and she doesn’t need to believe.

She has transmigrated through Contaminated Zones since she was twelve, all for the sake of a promise: to find a way to bring her mother back to life and locate her stepmother, who disappeared into a mirror.

But the closer she gets to the truth, the more she realizes that she herself is the source of all fairy-tale contamination.

Welcome to the Contaminated Zones. Remember: don’t believe in fairy tales, or you’ll die.
