[Sweet Xianxia Romance | A God Who Gives Up | Little Fox Demon | Unexpected Cuteness | Lighthearted Comedy]
In the ancient Hongmeng era, the world was divided into nine realms, and beyond them lay the Shangqing Divine Domain.
There lived only one being: Lord Xie Jichen, solitary and unmatched throughout the ages.
Taking pity on his loneliness, Heaven sent down a Goddess of Destiny, fated to be his match.
Overjoyed, the Lord built a pristine celestial palace in Shangqing. He even used the origins of the nine realms to conjure eight ancient divine beasts, intending them as mounts for his future consort.
Yet on the eve of the goddess's arrival, the boundless resentment accumulated across the nine realms surged into the heavens.
The goddess absorbed the myriad turbid forces unwillingly, and in a single instant, she transformed into a malevolent god.
The eight primordial divine beasts, meant to be her gentle companions, were also corrupted by resentment and became eight savage beasts.
To prevent the malevolent god and the savage beasts from wreaking havoc on the mortal world, the Lord painfully sacrificed half his divine essence. Using the power of the Shangqing Divine Domain, he sealed them all inside the pristine celestial palace.
With the seal in place, the Shangqing Divine Domain vanished from sight. The turbid forces in the nine realms were completely cleansed, and all things returned to goodness and beauty. This calamity had, instead, brought about a purification without equal.
A fragment of the future consort's pure, benevolent soul miraculously survived and fell upon the red lotus atop the palace's seal.
The Lord exhausted his divine essence to protect the remnant soul and sent it into reincarnation in the lower realm.
But fate was difficult to defy. As she was reincarnated, her soul split into fragments, scattered across the mortal world of the nine realms.
Eons passed in the blink of an eye.
The Divine Lord lived in seclusion, while the goddess reincarnated. See how he draws on the spiritual veins of the nine realms, treasures from secret realms, and the remnants of the eight savage beasts' origins to gradually cleanse the turbid forces within her and help the goddess return!
