[A Cry for the Departed fan fiction] + [You and Pian reunite] + [Pure romance] + [Play the pig to eat the tiger] + [Light comedy]
I'll do my best to stay true to history and the original work.
I thought the original ending was bad enough, but the follow-up alternate timeline that Lao Ling added also drew plenty of criticism...
After the Jin Zhi route in the original, I gave the original's useless male lead, Zhi You, a golden finger in Jiangyin, where he returns to life through an unclean resurrection. I also boosted the attributes related to his character and used Chao Fan Smart's mighty hand to strengthen his memories of Sister Pian and reshape his personality. At least he's not as awful as he was in the original.
As for Sister Pian, after Nanjing's traveling palace, she takes off to chase after her husband, traveling all over Jiangnan.
For now, I've set You and Pian's reunion in 1647.
Since the story starts after Yangzhou, rather than following the common fanfic setup of beginning with their first meeting on the Qinhuai River as children, their reunion will need some buildup and may feel a little slow. I'm also considering imitating the original's montage technique of alternating between memories and reality, so there will be some flashbacks. I'll do my best to bring You and Pian back together within 50,000 words.
As for 1647, I have read a book about this time period called Yongli, starting from the last emperor of the Southern Ming Dynasty. I really can't find a cool template that can be used to apply the background of the existing novel, such as Conquering the Qing Dynasty or Han'er is not a slave [laughter]
It makes up for You Pian's regrets very well and can also be read as a high-quality historical fiction novel. It is very good.
The first book about Oiran Pianpian, with a good ending, highly recommended
I am looking forward to the development of the plot. Come on, author.
Good luck to the author!
It's so well written, but it's a pity that it was published late. If I publish it in April, it might become popular. Come on, you must stick to it.
