A cute child suddenly appeared at the red-carpet event.
Overnight, Yu Jing gained a son, her biological child, and Pei Jinchao was the father.
They got their marriage license in the middle of the night and announced their marriage at once. It was as if someone had hit fast-forward.
By the time she came to her senses, she was already lying in the bed of her former fiancé, the man who had once abandoned her at the altar.
Yu Jing refused to accept that this was her fate.
When negotiating with him, she said, “You can’t force a melon to be sweet. If it’s not meant to be, don’t force it!”
But when she turned around, the little boy was looking at her through tear-filled eyes. “Mommy, are you going to abandon me and Daddy?”
Yu Jing surrendered in a second.
For a while, the little boy kept getting sick, and his fingers began to turn transparent. Yu Jing realized why her son existed.
She didn’t want to lose the child she’d spent every day with, so she tied Pei Jinchao to the bed, stripped him, and tried to make a baby with him.
She didn’t care whether he loved her. She only wanted the little boy to keep existing.
But then Pei Jinchao broke free and pinned her beneath him.
His eyes bloodshot, his voice full of despair, he asked,
“Yu Jing, is there really no place for me in your heart?”
His voice trembled with pleading. “Could you spare even the tiniest bit of your love for me?”
