Heng Dao Order

During the troubled times of the Five Dynasties, Bu Xiaochu, a young man from Taihang Mountain, went down the mountain carrying the horizontal sword "Taiping" passed down by his grandfather, and entered the world because of a mysterious letter. This sword is closely related to the "Heng Dao Order" that has lasted for more than two hundred years. Before his death, Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty forged thirteen horizontal swords and set up a killing trap with treasures as bait, intending to eradicate the heroes. The secrets hidden in the thirteen swords were enough to change the world. From the bloody storm in Weizhou to the tower forest showdown at Daxiangguo Temple, Bu Xiaochu gradually uncovered layers of mystery: the person who planned the plot was actually his grandfather's old friend, monk Yuantong. The leader of the Luohan Hall of Daxiangguo Temple has been pretending to be dead for more than 20 years, secretly contacting various forces, trying to collect thirteen horizontal swords, and use Taizong's edict to elect a "true emperor" in troubled times. His partners include Chai Rong and Guo Wei from the Central Plains, as well as Khitan cavalry from the grasslands. On the way to pursue the truth, Bu Xiaochu and Murong Shuang, the female swordsman of the Plum Blossom Sect, traveled hand in hand all over the world - from the mist and rain of Taihu Lake to the wind and snow of Yanshan Mountain, from the windy sand of Longyou to the Khitan grassland. He gathered thirteen horizontal swords scattered around the world and forged them into a new sword in the Xiangzhou blacksmith shop, ending the curse that had lasted for more than two hundred years. The changes of the Five Dynasties, Chai Rong's Northern Expedition, Zhao Kuangyin and Chen Qiao's mutiny, the founding of the Northern Song Dynasty... Bu Xiaochu personally experienced every drastic change in this iron-blooded era. Outside Liangzhou City, he single-handedly fended off the three major Uighur swordsmen in Ganzhou; in the royal tent of Ganzhou, he asked a Uighur Khan who was less than ten years old to sign his name on the peace covenant. This story is about a sword, and also about how the person holding the sword can keep his true heart amidst the light and shadow of the sword.
