Liu Hai is an unlucky water deliveryman. He started a business four times and owes a huge amount of debt. He even gets complaints from customers and loses his job even if he delivers water. He boarded an ocean-going cargo ship just to make a living, but the ship sank and he drifted away. He was trapped in a sunken ship on a desert island by a black ring.
This ring is omnipotent - it can heal injuries, identify treasures, see through raw jade stones, chat with cats, dogs and eagles, and later forced him to develop internal powers. Liu Hai just wants to be a salted fish. If the ring is not dry, he will be pushed to the boss's position.
From picking up national treasures in flea markets, to opening an antique shop in Liulichang, Kyoto to deal with all kinds of dissatisfaction; from being treated as a joke by the second-generation circle, to being slapped in the face with appraisals in KTV and becoming a legend. A myna who was full of Beijing movies scolded him, a former thief became his follower, three goddesses took turns to appear, and he finally chose the one in a white coat.
When the ring finally said "four more", Liu Hai understood - the ring that depended on him had only just reached the halfway point of the road paved for him.
