Chen Jizhou is a finance whiz with a 4.0 GPA. His motto in life is, "Everything can be modeled."
To get a recommendation for postgraduate study, he builds a relationship risk model and calculates the optimal solution: sign a dating contract. His contract partner is Professor's quiet, well-behaved distant cousin, Shen Ting. She smiles and nods through the whole signing, and Chen Jizhou is satisfied: obedient, cooperative, a perfect contract partner.
The next day, in the hallway of the teaching building, a guy rushes over and blocks Shen Ting's path. "Why haven't you replied to my messages?" Shen Ting takes the phone from his hand and crushes it with one hand. The screen shatters, and the body bends out of shape. She turns to Chen Jizhou, her tone exactly the same as on the day they signed the contract. "He was in the way. Clause three says we have to play along with each other's desired image. Right now, I want him to never show up in front of me again."
Chen Jizhou looks down at his relationship risk model. That isn't one of the variables.
It doesn't even include a variable for "Party B's combat strength."
Even more terrifying, with a whole semester left on the contract, he finds that he no longer wants to end it.
