Falsely Reborn, Truly Guiding the Dead

Heaven gave us a chance to start over: the Crown Prince and I were both reborn, joining forces to bring down our enemies and clear our names. Yet whenever night fell and all was still, the distant sound of bells and chanting would reach us. I thought it was a revelation from heaven, a warning bell.

It wasn’t until that day that I learned the truth:

The bells came from the Hall of Ksitigarbha. We had been dead all along. We were never reborn.

And the younger sister I thought needed my protection most was using her innocence to pave a path of revenge for us, straight to hell.
