My name is Shen Du. I have a PhD in history.
One day, I wake up and find that I have transmigrated to the ancient primordial world, four thousand years in the past.
From then on, I am present at the founding of every dynasty.
When Yu the Great tames the floods, I carry stones.
When Tang of Shang defeats Jie, I serve the wine.
When King Wu conquers Zhou, I stand on the wilds of Muye.
When Ying Zheng unifies the Six Kingdoms, I stand beneath the steps of Xianyang Palace.
When Liu Bang becomes emperor, I hear “The Great Wind Song” in Pei County.
Four thousand years. More than twenty founding emperors.
I am the only witness.
