The Great Liang Tianqi: I, a Commoner, Take Charge of the Brocade Guards

After rereading Song Zhi, I felt inspired to write this story. You may see quite a few echoes of Song Zhi’s character in the protagonist.

You can think of it as Song Zhi fan fiction.

Shen Buyan, the sole surviving heir of a fallen noble house, returns from exile to uncover the truth behind his family’s wrongful conviction. Beneath the Great Liang dynasty’s prosperous facade, powerful clans manipulate the court, eunuchs run rampant, and the martial world seethes with intrigue. He has no weapon, only a fragment of an old case file. The court wants him dead, the powerful clans want him silenced, and assassins lurk in the night, their blades flashing like snow. He wields the law as a blade, lays hidden plans, and allies with extraordinary people. Together with the physician Jiang Nianwan, he gathers gifted people scattered across the land. He digs up the truth, piece by piece. The powerful are a mountain, but he intends to topple it. He will not be a pawn in this game of chess. He will be the one moving the pieces.
