On the first day after the college entrance exams ended, I had barely walked out of the exam hall when three teachers surrounded me.
“Teachers, it’s her! She cheated in both exams today. I saw it with my own eyes!”
A girl suddenly pushed through the crowd and pointed at me. The candidates around us gasped and slowed their steps.
I froze for a moment, just about to explain.
She suddenly grabbed the front of my jacket and yanked it open.
With a rustle, several slips of paper covered in writing fell from my pocket.
“Everyone saw that, right? The evidence is clear! People like her should have their scores canceled and be permanently barred from taking the exams!”
The candidates around us glared at me. Someone muttered, “Shameless,” while another shouted, “Call an exam proctor!”
I looked down at the slips on the ground, then at the proctor badge I’d just taken off, and was dumbfounded.
They were the cheat sheets I’d found in a candidate’s desk while patrolling the exam room, and was about to report!
How did a candidate I’d never met know about them?
