Synopsis
A passenger plane carrying a company’s employees meets with an accident over the Pacific and crashes into the sea. Of the more than one hundred people on board, only eight survive by sheer luck, washing ashore on an uncharted deserted island.
Lin Yue, an ordinary employee in the marketing department, is forced to grow from an everyday man into a survival leader on this isolated island. There is no trace of modern civilization here, only endless hunger, ferocious beasts, sudden storms, and something more terrifying than nature itself: human nature.
They are not the island’s only inhabitants. Deep within it lie three ancient kingdoms with thousands of years of history: the Great Wu Dynasty, the Great Li Dynasty, and the Wu Dynasty. Descendants of migrants from the Qin, Han, and Ming dynasties have built a civilized society of tens of millions on the island, complete with their own writing system, calendar, armies, and iron weapons. More astonishing still, the island is home to a mysterious fruit that can strengthen the human body. White, silver, and gold varieties each symbolize power and authority.
The true threat, however, comes from the sea. Pirates armed with modern weapons discover the island and begin killing and pillaging, while the allied armies of the three kingdoms suffer defeat after defeat. Drawing on his modern knowledge and familiarity with weapons, Lin Yue maneuvers between the three kingdoms, from Prince Cheng to the Empress, from the remnants of the Wu Dynasty to the Great Li cavalry. He rises step by step from a castaway struggling to survive to the Marquis of Zhennan, leading the allied armies of the three kingdoms in a war across the ages against the pirates.
