The Return of the Luan Mirror

Having frozen and starved to death in her previous life, Shen Hengwu is reborn in the autumn when she is fourteen. She plans every step carefully, giving others a taste of their own medicine: first, she gets rid of her stepmother, then enters the Marquis's household. A letter hidden in a mandarin-duck mirror reveals twenty years of palace secrets. Together with Pei Yan, the heir apparent, she joins the fray and stirs up the battle for the throne. Once the truth comes to light, the mirror sinks beneath the water, and all grudges are laid to rest. On a spring day in Jiangnan, he opens the door with a box of osmanthus cakes in hand and says, “Aheng, let's go home.”
