(Palace intrigue + both leads have past partners + no true love)
In the sixth year of Chenghe, an order from a Zhaoyi in the palace changed the course of Third Miss Qi's life.
The moment Qi Wanyue decided to enter the palace selection, she knew she was stepping onto a bloody road with no return.
The emperor is heartless, so she will win his heart.
The imperial harem is full, so she will become his most favored consort.
The path to power is full of obstacles, so she will take charge and clear a road to the top.
No laughter reaches the towering palace walls; in the secluded inner courts, lonely tears fall. Qi Wanyue refuses to be beneath anyone and is determined to have the last laugh.
Watch her take on her legitimate elder sister, the favored consorts, and the empress... and bring the Great Qian dynasty to its knees.
P.S. She starts out weak and grows stronger later (it's all an act). She takes the initiative, and her moral compass isn't exactly strong.
