In the fifteenth year of the Republic of China, serial murders occurred one after another in Zhenxi County, a small town on the northwest border.
The blood was drained from the whole body of the deceased, and there were two symmetrical puncture wounds on the neck. A note was always left at the crime scene: "Blood is the guide of the soul, life is the prisoner of the soul."
The new detective Shen Mu discovered that these cases were related to a serial killer known as the "Blood Bodhisattva" more than a hundred years ago. Legend has it that the Blood Bodhisattva has a book that records nine methods of killing, each of which is extremely cruel and weird.
As the investigation deepened, Shen Mu discovered that there was more than one murderer, but a secret organization that had been lurking for thirty years. Nine copper rings, nine unidentified killers, an evil book that teaches people to kill, and a crazy mastermind pursuing immortality.
The murderer knew everything about him - his name, his whereabouts, his weaknesses. Every step he took, the murderer was waiting there.
This is not an investigation, this is a cat and mouse game.
And Shen Mu was the prey.
