The Tathagata handed over the scriptures from the Golden Palace. The volume is wordless.
Sun Wukong, who had never panicked when he caused havoc in the Heavenly Palace five hundred years ago, felt for the first time that the golden hoop in his hand was as cold as ice. Maitreya stopped them outside the mountain gate, smiled and handed over an empty cloth bag: The scriptures have souls, and they need to be filled in word by word with the footprints of the return journey.
It's just that Lingshan is behind you, and the Tang Dynasty is thousands of miles away. And every time a footprint is stepped on, the scripture becomes heavier - that is the wish of all living beings, and it is also the karma they have accumulated over the past fourteen years.
The way back is harder than the way we came. The old turtle in Tongtian River is still waiting for an answer. Buried at the bottom of the Flame Mountain are the bones of the Earth God. The obsession of the White Bone Lady on Baihu Ridge is contagious. Tang Monk saved her, but his own hands began to turn white inch by inch. Even more dangerous are the demons who come after hearing the scriptures - when the wordless scriptures sing to themselves, they will indiscriminately bless all living things. After listening to the sutra, the demons became more powerful and came to "thank you".
Forty-nine difficulties, all difficulties are old scores.
The most painful part was in Gao Laozhuang. Bajie knelt down in front of Gao Cuilan, who had gray hair on his temples. He finally said the word "marriage" that he had owed for fourteen years. On Mount Liangjie, Wukong opened the envelope from Maitreya Buddha, but there was no word inside. In the Liusha River, Sha Monk recovered a fragment of his golden body, which was engraved with a long-forgotten wish - "I want to go home."
Tang Seng walked the last section of the road alone.
The three apprentices each returned to their respective positions, and Bai Longma returned to Xihai. He memorized the sutras alone and walked into the gate of Chang'an. Morning bells rang all over the city, and the first line of the wordless scripture finally appeared:
"Thank you for your hard work along the way."
It turns out that what is written in the scriptures has never been Buddhism.
