The Seven-Part Requiem

Seven years ago, top criminal psychologist Zhi Mingwei fell to her death from a cliff, leaving her only daughter, Zhi Heyun, with a cryptic message:

“There are eight pieces on the chessboard. The seventh one is fake.”

Seven years later, nineteen-year-old Zhi Heyun returns with the gift of “perfect memory,” only to be drawn into a bizarre series of murders. The memories have been completely extracted from the victims' brains, and the same codename keeps appearing at the crime scenes: “Project Hanging Soul.”

As she investigates, she discovers that the heirs of the Seven Great Families each have secrets:

A forensic doctor, a CEO, a profiler, a hacker, a team leader, a physician, and a restoration specialist.

Seven people, seven fragments of tampered memories, seven keys to the truth.

And all of them bear the mark of the same forbidden experiment, buried within their bodies.

Some want to use her, some want to protect her, and some are struggling on the line between good and evil.

Zhi Heyun has only one goal: put everyone on the chessboard and overturn the truth with her own hands.

“Don't even think of becoming my CP. My only partner is the truth, and my only destination is victory.”
