Sun Wukong, who has achieved enlightenment, has become a victorious Buddha, but it is difficult to change his bad temper when he made trouble in the heaven. Lingshan Leiyin Temple has strict rules and regulations, and the "Buddhist check-in" of chanting sutras and sitting in meditation every day made the former Monkey King feel itchy all over. He often sneaks down to earth, playing tricks on his fairy friends, teasing his junior brothers, and occasionally encounters strange things and little demons in the world, and lives a leisurely life. In the later mortal world, hundreds of people disappeared suddenly in the Yong'an Kingdom. Evils were at work, the government was at a loss, and the people were crying in despair. Seeing this, Wukong decided to break free and went to Lingshan to plead for the Buddha's name to be taken back. Tathagata Buddha doted on his original intention, did not take away his title, and gave him complete freedom, allowing him to travel in the three realms as he pleased. Wukong finds Zhu Bajie from Gao Laozhuang and invites him to take care of the injustices in the world. Bajie was grateful for the brotherhood and resolutely left his comfort behind to accompany him. Later, Tang Seng and Sha Wujing also joined one after another. The four former masters and disciples of Buddhist scriptures shed the shackles of their identities in the Buddhist heaven. With pure chivalrous hearts, they once again embarked on a new journey of conquering demons and rescuing people, and continued to write a new legend of chivalry and righteousness in the three realms.
