Chen Luo has stayed in Zhongnan Mountain for twelve years. From the time he was picked up by his master at the age of eight, to today when he stepped on the green train bound for Bincheng, he only brought three things with him - a yellowed "Yi Zong Jin Jian", an old Bagua compass, and the master's words: "After you come down from the mountain, don't embarrass your master."
The master didn't tell him what he was allowed to do, nor what he wasn't allowed to do.
The train swayed for eighteen hours. At 4:30 in the morning, Chen Luo walked out of Bincheng Railway Station dragging his canvas bag. There was a row of migrant workers waiting for work lying on the square in front of the station. The street lights were dim, and a middle-aged man fell asleep leaning against the trash can. His snoring was louder than the train.
Chen Luoduo glanced at the man.
It wasn't because of the snoring, but because there was a wisp of black energy between the man's eyebrows. It was so thin and light that ordinary people couldn't see it. But in Chen Luo's eyes, the wisp of black energy was like a poisonous snake, crawling along the man's forehead toward the Tianling Cap.
The master has taught him the art of looking for energy for twelve years, and he has never misjudged him - if there is evil between the eyebrows, there will be blood within seven days.
This was the first dying person he encountered after coming down the mountain.
