At the end of the Song Dynasty and the beginning of the Yuan Dynasty (mid-13th century to the beginning of the 14th century), the Jin Dynasty was destroyed by the Liao Dynasty, the Mongolian cavalry went south, and the Southern Song Dynasty lingered on. The Longyou area became a strategic area where the Song Dynasty, Jin Dynasty, and Mongolia were at odds with each other. Wars continued frequently and the people were in dire straits. As a local prominent family, the Wang family in Longxi went from being attached to the Jin Dynasty to surrendering to Mongolia. They sized up the situation in troubled times and based themselves on military achievements. They gradually became important ministers in the northwest of the Yuan Dynasty, and eventually formed the glorious family pattern of "three kings and ten princes". Subsequent descendants continued their glory and became the pillars of the northwest of the Yuan Dynasty.
