A Guide to Touring the Continent

The Water Nation is the source of water for the entire continent, and the only place with the resource known as “living water,” the basic medium for alchemy.

For the past several hundred years, the Water Temple has controlled the extraction and distribution of living water. But in recent years, less and less has been available on the market, to the point that civilian alchemy has all but ground to a halt.

The Water Temple expressed its regret, while emphasizing that living water is a nonrenewable resource and that its limited supply should be put to more valuable uses, such as research, national defense, and diplomacy. After all, powerful enemies surround the Holy Altar as well.

Of course, they haven't been entirely useless. They've released Living Water Alternative 1.0, which uses pure water elements in place of living water to perform some simple alchemy.

“Where are we supposed to find pure water elements? It's been raining nonstop in the Water Nation for hundreds of years. Unpolluted water elements are floating above the country all the time,” said a temple researcher who wished to remain anonymous.

Of course, this could be considered a solution. Using rainwater in place of living water makes the results of alchemy like the difference between a candle and the sun, but at least it works.
